Amy brings a broad range of legal experience to her role. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for leading firms both in New Zealand and overseas, and her clients have ranged from small start-ups to publicly listed companies.
She specialized in employment law, intellectual property, and mediation, advising clients across various industries with practical, tailored legal solutions.
At Parker Cowan, her diverse background has equipped her for making the transition into insurance law a natural progression. Amy now represents private clients, insurers, and insured parties, with a strong focus on civil litigation. She regularly advises on professional indemnity claims, employment matters, and medico-legal issues, applying her extensive experience to navigate complex insurance-related disputes.
Amy also contributes to the legal profession through her role as the current Convenor of the Otago Standards Committee.
Outside of the office, Amy enjoys spending time with her young family and making the most of the Queenstown lifestyle. She is also an avid podcast listener, an insatiable reader, and considers herself a world class multi-tasker.
