Sarah joined Parker Cowan after 14 years at the Health and Disability Commissioner’s Office, where she worked in the assessment and investigation of health and disability complaints.
Her extensive experience provides her with valuable insight into the complaints process and the challenges faced by health professionals.
She advises medical practitioners and other health professionals on complaint responses, competence reviews, Coroner’s inquests, and a wide range of medico-legal issues. Sarah also has a particular interest in professional indemnity matters, regulatory investigations, and supporting professionals through complex disciplinary processes.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys making the most of the outdoors with her young family. Whether mountain biking, hiking, or skiing around Wānaka, she is happiest in the mountains. She is also a volunteer with Wānaka Search and Rescue.
